There are 12 teachers in the team. Over the years, over 100 papers in internationally authoritative journalshave been published such as IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, International Journal of Computer Vision, IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems, Automatica, Physical Review E, Scientific Reports, and PLoS Computational Biology, including over 30 papers in I section of Chinese Academy of Sciences, 15 highly cited papers of ESI, 8 hot papers of ESI, with accumulated other citations of SCI of nearly 1,000 times; 1 Second Prize of National Natural Science Award, 1 First Prize of the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education, and 1 Second Prize of Shaanxi College and University Science and Technology Award, and 1 Second Prize of Wu Wen Jun AI Science & Technology Award have been awarded, and over 20 national authorized patentshave been obtained.

In addition, the teamhas close scientific research cooperation with domestic and foreign well-known universities such as American Harvard University, University of California, Dartmouth College, Carnegie Mellon University, British Lancaster University, Canadian McGill University, Australian National University, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and colleges and universities of University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, etc.

⟡ Main research areas

1.  Intelligent image information processing

      A new generation of visual learning system based on the self-learning mechanism. The main issues include weak, semi-, and unsupervised visual learning, and self-step-course learning mechanism based reinforcement learning and adversarial learning.

2.  Analysis and control of multi-agent systems

It mainly researches the distributed coordination control and swarm decision-making and intelligence of multi-agent systems, and the main issues include the consensus, containment control, viewpoint dynamics, distributed optimization, etc. of multi-agent systems.

3.  Evolutionary games on complex networks

It mainly researches the exploration of cooperation mechanisms and AI theoretical basis under the background of evolutionary games. The main issues include: evolutionary games on complex networks, mechanism design issues in resource allocation, adaptability of risk aversion strategies in evolution, the role of reproductive polymorphism in cooperative evolution, swarm intelligence decision-making and optimization, etc.
