The Robotics Engineering is a major established conforming to the national intelligent manufacturing development strategy and the robotics technology development trend. It was approved by the Ministry of Education in 2019 and included in the enrollment plan in 2020. It aims to train high-quality engineering technology talents with solid basic theories, professional knowledge, and relatively strong engineering practical capabilities in the robotics field that can independently carry out robot design, research and innovation. With the robotics science and technology issues involved in the disciplines of mechanical engineering, control science and engineering, measurement and control technology and instruments as the research objects, this major is a multidisciplinary frontier cross discipline that comprehensively uses the theories, methods, and technologies of related disciplines of natural science, engineering technology, social science, humanitiesto study the ontology system design, intelligent perception, optimal control and human-computer interaction mode and other academic issues of robots. The Robotics Engineering involves machinery, electronics, electrical, automation, computer and other disciplines, and it is a major that pays equal attention to and combines software and hardware. It mainly includes robot's design and manufacturing, integrated application, research and development of spare parts and control systems, and other contents.
This majors implements the party's education policy and adheres to foster virtue through education, and trains patriotic and enterprising backbones and leaders in the robot industry with innovative thinking, solid foundation, wide caliber, refined skills, strong practice and international vision that can engage in scientific research, engineering design, technology development, technical support and management and other work in robot configuration design, dynamic analysis, servo control, sensor detection, computer technology, human-computer interaction, AI and other related fields and integrate multidisciplinary professional knowledge in mechanical engineering, control science and engineering, measurement and control technology and instruments, and master the basic theories, professional knowledge, engineering practice and innovation capabilities of robotics. The integration of mechanical technology and electronics technology, and the use of electronics technology (including sensors, control, and computers, etc.) to achieve the informatization and intelligence of robots are the characteristics of this major.
