⟡ Team introduction

This team is an internationally renowned research institution in the control field. At present, there are 24 teachers, and the research areas of the team include: complex system, big data, flight and motion control, image processing, discrete event systems, Petri nets and automation theory and applications, etc. The team has undertaken more than 30 projects including the 863 project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Sino-foreign cooperative scientific research project of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, the scientific research and international cooperation project of Shaanxi Province, and the basic scientific research business expenses of central universities. From 2004 to April 2017, the team had published one English monograph in Springer-Verlag and CRC Press respectively, and published one Chinese monograph in Science Press; and nearly 200 SCI papers had been published and accepted, of which more than 90 papers had been published in world renowned journals of Automatica and IEEE Transactions.

The team founded the IEEE SMC Xi'an Branch, and established the "Complex System" International Joint Research Center of Shaanxi Province. The team has established and maintained exchanges and cooperation with over 30 research teams/laboratories in 20 countries, and the teachers and doctoral students in the team go to the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Poland, Ukraine, Turkey, Japan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Tunisia, Algeria and other countries for long term (one year or above) or short term (less than 6 months) visits, joint training and exchange visits, which have exceeded 600 persons/month cumulatively. In recent years, over 10 doctoral students received double doctoral degrees, and 6 postgraduates have been recommended to study in foreign cooperative universities and received master degrees from overseas universities.
